Salary Range: $55,946 to $78,721 / Per Year Open Period: 1/1/2021 to 12/31/2021 Summary: To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Specialized Experience GS-07: assess and care for the nursing needs of ER patients and other types of patients as assigned; develop plans of care to meet the needs of assigned patients; recognize adverse signs and symptoms and reacting swiftly in emergency situations; basic knowledge of triaging patients; plan with minimal assistance in scheduling and providing comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department. Specialized Experience GS-09: Provides professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures required to assess needs of patients; knowledge of pharmaceuticals, their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use; recognizing adverse signs and symptoms which are not always apparent and to react promptly in emergency situations including the implantation of life saving procedures; providing counseling, guidance and health instruction to patients; and identifies disease entities in order to recognize complications and therapeutic interventions required. OR; Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing. Specialized Experience GS-10: Independently perform professional nursing duties in the care of surgical patients following extensive and complex surgery or other patients whose critical conditions warrant intensive care; certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Overserves and assesses patient's clinical condition; recognizes, identifies, and interprets serious situations and immediately decides proper action, for example, call physician or take preplanned emergency measures; Recognize emergency situations when a physician is not present or immediately available, initiates appropriate measures, for example, takes resuscitative measure in case of cardiac or respiratory arrest; Use specialized equipment such as monitoring ventilator devices, hypothermic units; Record information on patients' chart and maintain accurate records of intake and output; Administers prescri
