Job Description:


General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for Principal Testing & Validation Specialist - Test Engineer who holds active DOD Secret Clearance. Remote work.


The Global Freight Management system supports the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) as the surface transportation component of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), which leads the Department of Defense with all of their military transportation requirements.


GDIT provides development, maintenance, and sustainment support for the GFM as partners with the SDDC. GFM is comprised of more than a dozen web-based/cloud-based applications which facilitate the communication between SDDC, shipping businesses, and commercial transport companies in support of the bidding, selection, and coordination of military equipment and personnel requiring transportation anywhere around the world.


Minimum/General Experience:



  • Completed a minimum of 3 courses in Information Engineering & Business Process Reengineering Methodologies such as Activity Based Costing, IDEF Modeling, Facilitation, and two years' experience performing analysis projects, or; five years' experience, of which at least two years must be specialized in the implementation of information engineering projects using IE tools and methods. Two years business/functional experience is desirable, to support the business modeling.


Functional Responsibility:




  • Applies business process improvement practices to reengineer methodologies/principles and business process modernization projects. Applies, as appropriate, activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods and performance measurement techniques.



  • Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products, systems, software, and/or related components.


Qualifications:




  • Active DOD Secret clearance




  • BA/BS degree or related experience with 5+ years'; or equivalent years' of experience.




  • Testing Engineering experience with knowledge to design and develop tests and test requirements for products, systems, software, and/or related components.



  • Work remotely.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
