Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Process Engineer to join the engineering group at our manufacturing site in Peachtree City, GA.  As a Process Engineer for our facility, you will execute projects of significant importance, scope and complexity and will resolve common and special cause issues that impact plant quality, reliability, cost and performance.  You will also work with other departments within the plant and at the divisional level to support these efforts.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Promote safety as the most important value in the organization.

  • Provide 24x7 on call support for manufacturing process

  • Implementation of Process PM’s

  • Support day to day operations in the production environment and work with other staff to identify, select, prioritize and execute process improvement projects.

  • Document process and equipment changes.  Update training information and work instructions for Operations team.  Management of Process Recipes that produce good quality.

  • Partner with Quality to understand customer needs and expectations.

  • Continually improve & optimize current products through variation reduction and loss reduction.

  • Investigating manufacturing problems and consulting with production teams, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness.

  • Creating refining, educating and implementing standard work.

  • Interact with Maintenance and Technicians to maintain equipment in good working order.

  • Implement Corrective actions for opportunities discovered within the department or from customer complaints.

  • Support new product development and product design.

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required. 


  • This is an entry level position. We are looking for a recent graduate with previous internship or coop experience looking to learn and grow with our Peachtree City team.


  • Strong multi-tasking, problem solving, decision analysis, situation appraisal skills.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to connect and influence at all levels of the plant.

  • Be flexible in work hours. Will be on-call for troubleshooting and support for 24/7 manufacturing operation. Flex work schedule as required to cover off shift and weekend production (if needed)

  • This is an on-site role and cannot be done remotely

  • Can demonstrate process trouble-shooting ability.

  • Ability to take on increased responsibility, special initiatives, and leadership roles.
