Job Description




Position Summary


The position is responsible to define and implement the regional BU marketing strategy for the Access Control portfolio in North America.  The role ensures that products are successfully introduced and marketed throughout the entire life cycle to drive sustainability and growth.  The role is focused on growing BU market shares for Access Control and ensuring achievement of BU turnover and margin targets for the portfolio in the region.


Principal Responsibilities



  • Responsible for Access Control turnover and IM margin for North America


  • Develop and implement the regional market strategy for our Access Control Portfolio


  • Inform, support and challenge regional sales team on the specific product group


  • Analyze BU market situation and take actions through price, position, and product to gain market share and improve market positioning


  • Be the recognized NA regional domain expert for Access Control for BT


  • Conduct competitive and market analyses and provide related response strategies


  • Ensure and support the definition and implementation of the commercial training and certification plan (yearly plans, new launches), and provide input for development of BU specific commercial training material


  • Conduct commercial training sessions regularly and ensure training success for both internal associates and customers.


  • Contribute to product and services development by anticipating market trends, end-user and customer needs


  • Provide prioritized and vetted market requirements, needs, and use cases to the MKP/ENG team to support creation of a market-driven roadmap.


  • Support Product Introduction Process (PIP) on all defined process steps covering product launch in the region (create launch plan, run launch, and evaluate)


  • Contribute to initial product pricing and manage price maintenance and repositioning


  • Develop and execute promotion plan for Access Control for the North America region


  • Support sales and business development with customer management/customer visits


  • Manage product and portfolio life cycle and regional demo stock


  • Coordinate and support regional inventory sell-off programs (EOL, excess inventory)


  • Provide input for business planning and regular review of planning/forecasting


  • Ensure spot pricing process and actively be involved in decision process


  • Observe the market to ensure together with MKP that our regional product offer is compliant with legal requirements in the field





Qualifications




Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing or Communications


  • 7+ years’ experience in product marketing in the electronic Access Control domain


  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, preferably in a global business setting


  • Strong verbal, written communication skills



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the Electronic Access Control industry is extremely desirable

  • Experience marketing security or other complex commercial electronic products


  • An entrepreneurial mindset and results orientation is a must. 


  • Ideal candidate needs to be comfortable working in a matrixed organization requiring a high level of independence and informal leadership skills
