The Impact You'll Make in this Role


As a USAC Supply Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:



  • Supporting high growth within assigned product groups and value streams through support of new product introductions, source of supply initiatives, supply chain simplification

  • Delivering targeted service and inventory dollar investment

  • Leading supply and demand synchronization operational activities with assigned product lines and value streams

  • Analyzing material flow parameters such as safety stock, order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, and replenishment interval

  • Utilizing Supply Chain tools and processes such as DMPT, Peoplesoft, DSP, SAP, etc.

  • Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory

  • Coordinating supply chain activities to ensure successful events and promotions

  • Partnering with Business Group Operations on capacity planning

  • Executing supply planning standard work


Your Skills and Expertise


To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Six (6) years of combined experience in Procurement, Logistics, Operations, and/or related Supply Chain roles in a private, public, government or military environment


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:



  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field from an accredited institution

  • 3-6 years of combined experience in MRP, material planning and scheduling, manufacturing capacity planning, inventory control, and/or supply chain management

  • Experience leading S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) or IBP (Integrated Business Planning) teams

  • 3-5 years of combined supply planning experience preferably in an SAP planning environment

  • 1-3 years of combined demand planning experience

  • 1-3 years negotiation experience

  • 1-3 years of direct supervision experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading and/or participating on cross functional teams and ability to influence others, lead peers

  • Six Sigma Green Belt project experience and/or certification

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification


Travel: May include up to 10% Domestic
