The Finance Data & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible to for the development, production, and transformation of Financial data and reporting across CCB. Our vision is to improve the lives of our people and increase value to the firm by leveraging the power of our data and the best tools to analyze data, generate insights, save time, improve processes & control, and lead the organization in developing skills of the future. Our overall product objectives include:

1) constructing a data environment that enables cross-business, customer-centric decision making and reporting needs across CCB in a consistent framework;

2) creating an ecosystem of dashboards, sourced from authoritative data sources, to replace all manual management reporting and to allow our employees to focus on generating actionable insights;

3) eliminating user tools, saving time, and increasing ability to generate insights through data, dashboards, and developing new capabilities

Job Description : This position will work directly with the Consumer & Community Banking business support teams (Controllers, Regulatory Reporting, Treasury-Liquidity and Structured Interest Rate Risk, and Credit Risk) to understand data, analysis and reporting requirements, translate into sourcing solutions within the Finance Risk Warehouse (FRW) infrastructure and actively participate in project life cycle activities (up to 4 projects concurrently) to deliver sustainable solutions. The role will have primary coverage responsibility for one or more CCB sub-lines of business and provide support for others

Key responsibilities:



  • Partner with CCB business support and Technology teams to accurately identify and design data sourcing requirements
  • Effectively collaborate with team leads across multiple time zones and regions throughout project life cycle. A high level of responsiveness is expected for regulatory inquiries and other ad hoc priority requests
  • Utilize project management best practices and tools to monitor progress, track priorities, communicate updates and manage tasks to meet published project timeline
  • Develop UAT test plans, execute test scripts, validate and reconcile data and review results with impacted teams
  • Identify, investigate and manage defects associated with the test execution, including monitoring, reporting and resolution
  • Support daily production environment by review and resolution of data edit & validation errors
  • Support weekly regulatory reporting (ERDC) and monthly close process. Support includes processing adjustments to resolve data quality issues/gaps and execution of reports/analytics
  • Work with CCB line of business support teams (Finance, Operations, and Technology) to investigate and resolve Production data issues and anomalies
  • Develop business and data acumen to be subject matter expert and escalation point for deployed solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to explain data concepts and challenges clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Complete ad hoc project related requests as needed

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree, preferably a Business, Accounting or Information Systems
  • 3-7 years of experience with UAT testing, data and business analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Basic SQL query writing skills or ABACUS Studio. Advanced level skills are a plus
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to interpret and analyze data, identify anomalies, determine root cause and recommend solutions
  • Team player and self-starter; demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimum supervision
  • Project management and organization skills with proven ability to structure and prioritize complex work to meet published timelines
  • Finance/Accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of consumer bank products (e.g. Home Lending, Credit Card, etc.) and/or understanding of financial reporting processes preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of and exposure to Agile methodology and governance principles preferred
  • Knowledge of either Alteryx/Tableau is a plus
