Description & Requirements


The Materials Coordinator will primarily be responsible for daily inventory reconciliation of production between Factory and 3PL warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works cross functionally with Marketing- Procurement- R&D- Suppliers- Quality- Plants- Product Change Managers- and Finance
  • As directed by the Materials Supervisor- this role performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
  • Primarily responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy as directed by the Supervisor and seeking best practice methods.
  • Identification and resolution of inventory discrepancy and providing error correction.
  • Performs clerical and manual duties in material areas such as receiving- storing- issuing- and delivering materials- parts- supplies- and equipment.
  • Responsible for area 5S endeavors for office and all work areas.
  • Active member in Warehouse Safety Team.
  • Controls the reporting and accuracy of QC cases
  • Compiles Quality Control cases for daily production to report to Americold
  • Keeps accurate records of where QC cases are located (Americold- Freezer 4)
  • Audits the Quality control process both at Americold and our facility
  • Owns all Inventory Control System transactions for proper Inventory Control Locations for Recase or Rework
  • Creates Rework plan and organizes with Production the Rework for the week
  • Creates Process Orders for Rework according to plan
  • Owns all Inventory Control System transactions for Rework
  • Receives Rework paperwork for auditing and record keeping
  • Owns the Rework process to make sure both sides Quality/Production are going through the process correctly
  • Accurately reports to the owner of the Quality Hold Log when cases are reworked
  • Owns and reports everything in the ‘Cage” in Freezer 4
  • Responsible for an accurate log of what is in the cage
  • Own inventory and Inventory Control System movements
  • Cycle counts ‘Cage’
  • Responsible for all Disposals/Write-Offs
  • Coordinates with Plant Manager- Finance- Americold and Production for disposed of product
  • Tracks accuracy of each locations and keeps log for write off
  • Own all Inventory Control System transactions and process/approvals for movement of disposed product
  • Owns specific Inventory Control System locations
  • Keeps accurate records of movements
  • Audits for accuracy
  • Cleans up errors/mistakes


  • Possess intermediate computer skills including MSOffice Suite applications. Will be required to work heavily in Catalyst SAP ERP system- WMS/Production Centre.
  • Must have attention to detail and work well with others in a highly matrix environment including outside partner contractors.
  • Must have ability to have a flexible work schedule. There are intermittent demands for supporting after-hours and weekend work.


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
