Mark Cuban Backed Company Seeking Service Technician (full-time)
A fun and exciting San Francisco based company making innovative healthy home & bathroom products seeks a full-time Service Technician to join our growing team.
Privately held and backed by internet pioneers Mark Cuban and Dave Samuel, Brondell is a well-established manufacturing company that is growing fast. Our products are carried by many leading retailers including Amazon, Costco, Home Depot, and Lowes and our various products have won numerous awards over the years. We are an industry leader in our current category niche (electronic bidet toilet seats and bidet attachments) and are continuing with our expansion into new healthy home product categories such as our recently launched water filtration and air purification for the home. We are a small fun team of smart professionals who take pride in our contributions to the company - we work hard, but maintain a healthy sense of humor and work/life balance.
The Right Candidate:
We seek a smart, organized and proactive service technician to help with our repair and service department including servicing of products and customer technical product support. Candidate must be handy with mechanical and electronic products, have computer and office experience, excellent phone skills, be a fast learner and have a fun, outgoing personality. Communication with teammates and customers comes naturally, and is adaptive to the fast-paced startup environment. In addition to excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, this position requires high technical acumen and a quick learner of processes and software/tools as well as enjoyment in interacting with people.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support our core values: CARE for our customers, CARE for our products and CARE for our employees
• Repair of various household electronic products (mostly our Swash electronic bidet toilet seats)
• Customer technical support & troubleshooting via phone & email
• Entering support tickets, recordkeeping, and documentation into a CRM system
• Responsible for quality control and testing of products / product improvements
• Project-oriented tasks as needed
IMPORTANT NOTE: candidate must be comfortable in handling "hygienic" products. The Swash is an electronic bidet toilet seat and most of the units shipped to us have been used and returned to us by customers for servicing and repair, replacement, or exchange under warranty.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent customer support skills are required (both phone and email)
• Demonstrated expertise in working with mechanical and electronics maintenance
• Technical and troubleshooting skills (handling, disassembly / reassembly of electronics)
• Understanding of and commitment to top notch customer service
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Can do attitude and ability to juggle priorities
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft office, email, and ability to learn new software
• High school, trade school, or on the job training experience required
Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm but are occasionally flexible if/when you have the need. Likewise, when things are super busy, pitching in extra with everyone else is expected.
Compensation based on skills/experience. Two month full time contract with permanent employment immediately following contract period for the right candidate including a full suite of company benefits such as: 100% of individual healthcare premiums, gym membership, commuting stipend, 2 weeks paid time off (grows annually) plus holidays, simple IRA matching, matching gift programs, and more.
