Assistant Engineer, Piping

Job Summary

The Assistant Engineer supports the Production Engineer in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily piping production activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and schedule requirements. The role is responsible for coordinating with cross-functional departments to ensure the availability of materials, drawings, and production resources, while monitoring work progress, preparing production reports, and supporting the optimization of manpower and workflow. The Assistant Engineer also promotes compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE/HSE) policies throughout all production activities.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Engineer in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily piping production activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, Material Control, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to ensure the availability of drawings, materials, tools, and resources required for production.
• Monitor daily production progress and prepare regular production reports, including productivity, work progress, and resource utilization.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors, Foreman, and subcontractors to optimize manpower allocation, equipment utilization, and workflow.
• Promote and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE/HSE) policies and procedures throughout all production activities.
  
  

Key Requirements

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of piping fabrication, pipe installation, welding processes, and production workflow.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and under tight project schedules.
