Job Role

The Assistant Tax Manager will serve as a key technical and operational support lead responsible for handling complex tax projects, dispute cases, and client advisory engagements. This role requires strong technical expertise in Indonesian taxation, tax litigation, and fiscal analysis while supporting senior management in delivering high-quality tax consulting services.

The position involves managing tax compliance and dispute-related projects, supervising junior team members, coordinating with clients, and ensuring the technical accuracy of deliverables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment and possess strong analytical, communication, and case management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior management in handling tax consulting, litigation, and dispute-related projects.
• Review and monitor the work quality of junior and senior team members to ensure technical accuracy.
• Manage tax compliance, tax review, tax advisory, transfer pricing, and tax due diligence projects.
• Handle tax dispute processes, including audits, objections, appeals, and judicial review support.
• Coordinate professionally with clients regarding project progress, documentation, and technical requirements.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and mentoring to team members to improve technical capabilities and workflow efficiency.
• Monitor updates in tax regulations and analyze their impact on client business operations.
• Support the development and maintenance of long-term client relationships.
• Prepare technical tax analysis, reports, and supporting documentation for client cases.
• Collaborate internally to ensure timely and accurate project execution under tight deadlines.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Fiscal Administration, or related financial disciplines from a reputable university.
• Minimum 4 years of experience within Tax Consulting Firms, Tax Advisory Firms, or Law Firms specializing in taxation.
• Experience handling tax audits, tax litigation, dispute resolution, tax advisory, and compliance projects.
• Exposure to handling SP2DK responses, tax audits, objections, appeals, or related dispute processes.
• USKP A and USKP B certifications are mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations, including KUP, PPh, and PPN regulations.
• Familiarity with tax authority electronic systems and digital tax reporting platforms.
• Strong accounting analysis skills, including financial statement and tax reconciliation analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities within tax and financial contexts.
• Able to work under pressure within high-volume and deadline-driven project environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for handling client and authority discussions.
• Intermediate to fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Strong professionalism, attention to detail, integrity, and team leadership capability.
