About the Role

This role is the bridge between creative vision and technical execution.

You'll own the end-to-end product design process — from the first concept sketch through to production-ready samples, photoshoot-prepped pieces, and the live product page on our website. Our Creative Director sets the direction; you translate it into clean technical drawings, accurate tech packs, well-organized samples, and a Shopify launch.

Be upfront with yourself before applying: this is a hybrid role. You'll sketch — and you'll also brief a print designer, build tech packs, assisting fitting sessions, prep samples for photoshoots, and configure Shopify apps. On any given day you'll move between Illustrator, Techpacker, our sample room, the photoshoot set, and our Shopify admin.

If you're looking for a pure design role with a single creative focus, this isn't it. If you want real ownership across the whole product cycle, you'll thrive.

What You'll Own

1. Collection sketches with confirmed colorways delivered on time against the development calendar
2. Assisting head of technical development with skecthes for tech packs 
3. Samples organized, labelled, and QC'd before every photoshoot and fitting
4. Complete Shopify product pages at launch — descriptions, upload existing sizing guides, ghost images, ShopTheLook pairings, upsell suggestions
5. Print and fabric development with our freelance print designer — on spec, on schedule
6. Fitting sessions assistance — models measured against Alvanon standards (jointly with the technical and creative Department);
7. The communication flow between Creative Director and development/production — clean, structured, and routed through you

What Your Week Looks Like

Design & Sketching

• Build technical sketches and fashion flats for new styles (plain first, then with colorways once confirmed by the Creative Director)
• Create final collection overviews with names, colorways, and approved sketches
• Maintain the naming system for pattern blocks and inspiration samples in Monday.com

Tech Packs & Technical Preparation

• Build and review tech packs in Techpacker — upload sketches, confirm material specs, lock in product details
• Double-check accuracy on materials, trims, colorways, and product specs before each style enters sampling

Print & Fabric Development

• Brief and manage our freelance print designer (new print requests, revision rounds, finalized file organization)
• Request print fabric samples for testing
• Source development fabrics and order trims and accessories for the sample room (you decide within an agreed budget)

Sampling & Fittings

• Coordinate sample requests with our internal sample room and external manufacturers
• Run sample review sessions with the Creative Director; jointly decide go / adjust / no-go for each round
• Run fitting sessions, including Alvanon-based measurement of models
• Manage sample knitting orders — sketches, colorways, swatches, size sets, pricing

Photoshoot Preparation

• Allocate and separate samples by purpose (fitting gallery, campaign, PPS, reference)
• QC every sample before it goes on set: workmanship, HTL details, stitching, thread color

Shopify & E-commerce Execution

• Create HD collection overviews from ghost-mannequin images for Customer Service, Marketing, and retailers
• Upload and pair ghost images with e-comm model shots on Shopify
• Configure product recommendations: ShopTheLook (matched-product pairing) and Selleasy (add-to-cart upsell, 6–8 items per product)
• Build per-style sizing guides via the Kiwi app (e.g., 70C / 75B / 80A → S)
• Maintain the Fitting Gallery and review every new launch page for missing or incorrect descriptions

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

• 2–4 years of experience in fashion product development, technical design, or merchandising — ideally in swimwear, lingerie or activewear.
• Adobe Illustrator skills — you produce clean technical sketches and add colorways independently
• Experience with tech-pack workflows (Techpacker is a plus; we'll train if you've used another system)
• Strong organizational skills — you run multiple workstreams in parallel without details slipping
• Comfortable with technology in general — Shopify, Monday.com, basic image editing
• Good written and spoken English — our internal communication is in English

Nice-to-haves

• Background in swimwear or lingerie specifically
• Familiarity with Shopify product setup and apps (ShopTheLook, Selleasy, Kiwi, or similar)
• Experience running fittings with Alvanon size standards
• Eye for product photography and visual merchandising
