Executive, Finance (AP)

Job Summary

The AP Executive is responsible for managing and monitoring accounts payable activities in the shipyard environment, ensuring timely processing of supplier invoices, accurate payment execution, and proper recording of expenses. This role supports project and operational procurement activities, coordinates closely with Procurement, Project, and User Departments, and ensures payables are properly reconciled and compliant with company policies and financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day running of AP section, attend to the issues as raised.
• Generate & monitor AP reports/aging analysis.
• Review & release vendor in system as per approved vendor registration form.
• Check & post invoices submitted by AP staffs.
• Check payment prepared by AP staffs.
• Prepare monthly payment detail report, payment proposal & outflow forecast.
• Monitor cashbook balance, ensure availability of fund.
• Review AP reconciliation prepared by AP staffs.
• Review GRIR balance report & take appropriate action as required.
• Perform monthly closing & prepare audit schedules as assigned.
• Liaise with internal & external auditors during audit process.
• Ad hoc assignment assigned
  
  

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Accounting roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong working knowledge of SAP.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external customers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while meeting deadlines.
