The Opportunity

Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Superintendent Mining to join our high-performing team at our future project in East Kalimantan

As Superintendent Mining you will:

• Coordinate all supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter-burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area;
• Actively coordinate with trainer to achieve productivity and production;
• Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results.
• Set an example for all in the workplace to follow in safety, leadership, attendance and personal behavior.
  
  
  

About You

• Senior High School or Graduate from Tertiary Degree in Mine Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years previous experience in a similar role experience in large open cut mining operation in Coal and Minerals of which at least one or two years in production/service supervision/ management role
• Comprehensive knowledge in mining equipment.
• Has experience in Client relations
• Has a good understanding of financial reporting & concepts
• Certified in POP & POM - preferred
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring and negotiation/mediation; good analytical; conflict resolution; sound decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
