Head of Planning – Key Job Responsibilities

• Lead the overall project planning strategy from land acquisition through design, approvals, construction, and project completion to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain integrated master programmes, project schedules, and critical path analyses for multiple development projects.
• Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and implement mitigation and recovery plans to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to facilitate planning approvals and project execution.
• Oversee feasibility studies, development planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for new and existing developments.
• Establish planning standards, governance frameworks, and reporting systems to enhance project controls and organizational efficiency.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, dashboards, and performance analyses to senior management and executive stakeholders.
• Drive risk management initiatives by identifying project constraints, evaluating potential impacts, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the planning team while promoting best practices in project planning, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure all development projects comply with statutory requirements, regulatory approvals, contractual obligations, and the company's quality, safety, and commercial objectives.
