HSE Business Partner (Transportation), based in Jakarta, Indonesia

Key responsibilities

Data Management and Reporting:

• Manage and analyze HSSE data, including accident registers, compliance metrics, and safety performance indicators.

• Generate and distribute detailed reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to leadership, highlighting compliance trends and areas for improvement.

• Maintain documentation related to all critical tasks and procedures for role continuity
  
  

Regulatory Compliance & Auditing / Qualification Assessment

• Ensure compliance with APMM HSE standards and local regulations.

• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.

• Drive workplace hazard identification, risk controls, and safe working conditions for drivers.

• Conduct audits, qualification assessment and evaluation, inspections, and compliance reviews across sites and fleets.

• Ensure driver health, fatigue, working hours, and qualification file compliance are monitored by operation.

• Oversee vehicle safety standards, telematics, ELDs, and driver monitoring programs.
  
  

Risk Management

• Lead risk assessments and ensure mitigation plans are implemented.

• Manage incident investigations, corrective actions, and organizational learning.

• Support operation in monitoring driver fatigue, working-hours compliance, and related health risks.

• Develop and maintain emergency response, contingency, and communication plans.

• Oversee post-accident testing, HSSE assessments, and closure of corrective actions.
  
  

Flexibility to travel domestically to the Jakarta office from time to time is essential for this role.

We’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within trucking, logistics, transportation, or other landside operations.

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) certification with the relevant local regulatory authority is highly preferred.

• Proven experience managing third-party vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with corporate HSE standards and regulatory requirements.

• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems).

• Demonstrated experience in planning and conducting internal and external HSE audits.

• Process-oriented professional with strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience leading compliance, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives through effective project management.

• Strong ability to influence stakeholders, drive behavioral change, and foster a positive safety culture across the organization.
