Job Description

The position of Laundry Attendant serves as a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the hotel's laundry department. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for handling the laundering and care of guests' linens, clothing, and textiles with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to the hotel's high standards of cleanliness. Working diligently behind the scenes, the Laundry Attendant plays a crucial part in maintaining the hotel's reputation for luxury and exceptional service by providing guests with pristine and well-maintained laundry items. With a focus on precision and efficiency, the Laundry Attendant contributes significantly to guest satisfaction and upholds the hotel's image of excellence within the international chain. 

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of laundry operations such as washing, drying, ironing, and folding. Familiarity with fabric care is an advantage.
• Attention to Detail: Able to maintain cleanliness and quality standards when handling guest laundry and hotel linen.
• Efficiency and Time Management: Able to work efficiently and handle workloads during busy periods.
• Physical Stamina: Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift, and carry laundry items.
• Communication and Teamwork: Able to work well with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
• Safety and Hygiene Compliance: Understand basic safety, hygiene, and proper handling of laundry equipment and chemicals.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Willing to work flexible shifts and adapt to operational needs.
• Previous Work Experience: Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping operations is an advantage, preferably in a hotel environment.
