Job Role

The Lead Civil Engineer will serve as the primary technical lead for civil and structural engineering design across industrial, commercial, and development projects. Reporting directly to the Director, this role is responsible for overseeing engineering design activities, technical calculations, and the preparation of construction-ready drawings, from conceptual development through Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation.

The position requires strong expertise in structural analysis, seismic engineering, foundation design, and Indonesian building regulations. The successful candidate will also lead multidisciplinary coordination with architectural and MEP teams, oversee technical quality, and mentor junior engineers to ensure that projects meet engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and construction objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering design activities, taking technical responsibility for structural integrity, engineering compliance, and relevant professional requirements.
• Perform, review, and approve structural analysis, foundation design, reinforced concrete and steel structure calculations, and engineering specifications.
• Lead civil and structural engineering projects from conceptual design and schematic development through detailed engineering and finalized IFC drawing packages.
• Ensure structural designs comply with applicable Indonesian National Standards (SNI), seismic and wind load requirements, and relevant PBG and SLF submission standards.
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams to ensure structural integration, including column grids, foundation loads, heavy equipment supports, and MEP service penetrations.
• Review structural shop drawings, bar bending schedules, material submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure alignment with approved engineering designs.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions to address design challenges, site conditions, constructability issues, and project requirements.
• Oversee engineering quality assurance and ensure the accuracy and consistency of structural calculations, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior civil engineers, structural drafters, and external geotechnical consultants.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on technical matters, design revisions, and engineering approvals.
• Support project delivery by identifying potential technical risks, optimizing structural solutions, and ensuring alignment with project schedules and design requirements.
  
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable university.
• Valid STRI (Surat Tanda Registrasi Insinyur) is mandatory.
• Valid SKA/SKK Level 8 (Ahli Madya) in Civil or Structural Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in civil or structural engineering design, including industrial projects and experience as an Engineer-in-Charge or equivalent technical lead.
• Previous experience in an architectural consultancy, engineering consultancy, or civil and structural design firm is required.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering and IFC documentation.
• Strong technical expertise in structural modeling, seismic analysis in accordance with SNI, wind load calculations, foundation design, and reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing.
• Solid understanding of Indonesian National Standards, particularly SNI 1726, SNI 2847, and SNI 1729, as well as applicable PBG and SLF technical documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or STAAD.Pro for structural modeling, finite element analysis, and foundation calculations is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting, structural detailing, layout coordination, and IFC drawing preparation is mandatory.
• Familiarity with BIM and Revit Structure for 3D structural modeling and multidisciplinary coordination is a strong advantage.
• Professional English proficiency, particularly for understanding technical documentation and communicating with project stakeholders.
• Strong technical leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex engineering requirements.
• Detail-oriented, technically rigorous, and capable of coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willing to work under a hybrid arrangement in North Jakarta and conduct site visits as required.
