Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time (negotiable), on-site Mandarin Teacher role located in Malang, Indonesia. The Mandarin Teacher will design and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.

Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes across appropriate grade levels, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment, incorporating interactive activities and technology to build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin.

Additional duties include communicating with parents and guardians, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, participating in school events and professional development, and contributing to the wider school community.

• Strong Mandarin Chinese Teaching skills, including experience teaching Mandarin as a foreign or second language. Minimum qualification is Bachelor Degree in Mandarin Language or related fields.
• Fluent in English as the class will be held in English & Mandarin.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation, with the ability to adapt materials for different learning needs and levels.
• Background in Education and Teaching, ideally with a degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Excellent Communication skills in Mandarin and English, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Prior classroom or school-based teaching experience, preferably in an international or multicultural environment.
• Familiarity with student-centered, interactive, and differentiated teaching methods.
• Relevant teaching certification or license for Mandarin language instruction is an advantage.
