Company Description JMC Sakamoto Green Lake is a specialized mathematics tuition center that applies the Sakamoto Method, an instructional approach developed in Japan to strengthen problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding. The center focuses on helping primary-level learners build a solid foundation in mathematics through structured, step-by-step guidance. Lessons are designed to make mathematics accessible, logical, and engaging for students of varying abilities. JMC Sakamoto Green Lake offers a supportive learning environment where educators can focus on high-quality teaching and student progress.

Role Description The Primary Mathematics Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Tangerang. The teacher will plan and deliver mathematics lessons using the Sakamoto Method, ensuring that content is appropriate for primary-level learners. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, guiding students through problem-solving exercises, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues on curriculum improvements, maintaining accurate records of student progress, and communicating with parents or guardians as needed. The teacher is expected to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs and encourages positive attitudes toward mathematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Mathematics Education/Mathematics or related field)
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is highly preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Good command of English, both spoken and written
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willing to work on-site from Monday to Saturday

(Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM; Saturday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM)

• Ability to use Microsoft Excel
• Willing to commit for at least 2 years
• Living in Tangerang or West Jakarta is preferred, as the position is based in Green Lake City, Cipondoh, Tangerang, Banten

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics according to the Sakamoto Method
• Guide students in developing mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Monitor and evaluate students learning progress
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff
• Maintain accurate student learning records
• Participate in weekly/monthly meetings, training sessions, and other academic activities
