Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reliability Engineer to assist with the product improvement program, provide technical support to the field service crews when required, back up Maintenance advisor and carry out and manage all sections of the breakdown analysis program

Your Responsibilities

• Product Development: Assist PTL and Liebherr Factory to develop/improve machine condition and component life
• PIR Reporting (Product Information Report): Assist service department with completing PIR for important failures and product issues, monitor the PIR system with follow-up when part/parts are required to be sent back to LEC (high level failures reported to the Maintenance Advisor)
• Field Test Modifications Monitoring: Monitor active component field tests - update PIR system on monthly bases. Review condition of field test component when returned to PTL. Assist with returning parts or component to Liebherr Factory also any additional feedback to factory
• CSI (Customer Service Information) Implementation: CSI implementation as per the Maintenance Advisor's instructions, Open CSI work orders, Ensure CSI parts are ordered for units, Document the installation of CSI parts, Ensure CSI work orders are closed as completed
• Customer Oil Sample Monitoring: Review customer oil sample reports, assist with recommendations and follow up regarding possible component issues, Update PTL component monitoring sheets and customer files
• Warranty Part Identification & Reporting: Assist the warranty team in inspecting parts/components that have failed below 3,000 hours, to ascertain whether warranty can be claimed and or a PIR report is required
• Product Improvement: Work with the Maintenance Advisor in implementing and following through on all product improvement initiatives until their completion
• Special Projects: Assist the Maintenance Advisor in any jobs he may assign that are outside the items shown above
• Provide Back-Up Technical Support When the Maintenance Advisor is Absent: Keep the Assistant operations Manager updated on any ongoing jobs/projects, Follow up on items shown in the Maintenance Advisor hand over list, Continue communications with LEC regarding any outstanding items, Answer technical questions and provide technical support to the Superintendent and Technicians as required, Support the planning & parts departments with technical parts issues as required
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years in the same field
• Accurate, structured, pro-active, independent and team player
• A strong background in hydraulic excavator maintenance
• Strong organizational skills
• High level of computer literacy
• Possess excellent communication skills
• The ability to work with minimum supervision
• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure in a small team environment
• Be punctual, reliable and have a high standard of work ethic
