Profile Requirements

  • English Speaking is a must
  • Minimum Diploma (D3)/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental) or Public Health/OHS.
  • A valid General OHS Expert Certificate (AK3U) is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) field
  • Proficiency in OHS inspections, risk management, incident investigations, and OHS regulations.

Job Purpose

To plan, develop, and establish occupational safety and health practices & procedures in factories with effective training, develop strong systems & procedures for prevention of occupational risks, accidents & diseases in each function based on applicable legal provisions and company policies.

Job Accountabilities

  • Implementation and Management of Comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Programs
    • Responsible to align, implement and manage safety management program: Occupation Health Management, Safety Management, First Aid, HIV – TB – Malaria, Risk Evaluation, Fire Management, Road and Driving Safety, Scaffolding, Machine Guarding, Noise, Emergency Preparedness Response, Material Lifting
    • Collect and report the following incidents within Enablon ie the ABG sustainability portal: Unsafe action/ unsafe condition, behavior-based safety observation, fire-safety/physical incident
    • Input EY (Ernes and Young) HSE legal compliance in Enablon
  • HSE Planning, Development, and Compliance Auditing
    • To create and implement HSE management program based on ABG standard,
    • To create safety objective based on ISO and other certification
    • Auditing the performance of the workplace according standard
  • Inspection, Maintenance, and Enhancement of Fire Safety, Emergency Management, and Hazard Prevention Systems
    • Fire prevention system checking to ensure functioning, availability, efficiency of fire pumps, hydrant line, hydrant standpoint and accessories, portable fire extinguisher, and foam system. Ensure those are in ready condition.
    • Detect and analyze the causes of injuries and illness, accident (unsafe condition and unsafe action)
    • Hazard identification including measures for prevention and process safety present to the employee.
    • Arrange for medicals checking equipment's readiness, ensure availability, (first aid and clinic)
    • Emergency shower inspection, arrange for maintenance.
    • Review emergency management program
  • People Development & Safety Training
    • Conduct HSE training with HR team to improve safety behavior and improve awareness.
    • Conduct mock drill yearly with both theory and practice.
    • Organize training based on legal requirement (first aider, fire fighter, electric expert, etc.)
    • Collect statistics, data Analysis, prepare a report and recommendations regarding injury illness.
    • Perform as lecturer on HSE and regulations to employee, contactor, and community and other people may concerned.
    • Create one point lesson and conduct training in case of accident, incident after found out the root cause to avoid repeat of situation
  • Safety Awareness, Engagement, and Recognition Program Management
    • Safety campaign program with banner, poster, sticker
    • Conduct recognition program annually with awards for safety
    • Celebrate safety month with quizzes, safety merchandize, fire-drills, workshops and prizes
    • Regular communication with employees and external stakeholders
  • Legal Compliance
    • Review and make recommendations to employers to comply with laws relating to occupational health and safety conditions at work.
    • Encourage employees to comply with regulations and documentation.
    • Audit / check to ensure all business operation follows plan or safety work measurement.
    • Conduct risk assessment in work area / process.
    • Ensure that employees follow the discipline and the manual
    • To conduct work environment measurement and assessment for the risk or cooperate with other personnel or party whom registered to Department of Welfare and Labor Protection to be authorized personnel or party for working environment measurement report / document approver as per legal.
  • Environmental Safety
    • Conduct environment assessment, and make program to prevent environment incident
    • To conduct work environment measurement to ensure comply with legal requirement
    • Report UKL/UPL (environment program) to government
    • Handling hazardous waste management program
    • Disposal hazardous waste to authorized vendor
    • Emergency response program for environment incident
