Strategic & External Relation Department Head

Job Description:

• Lead, coordinate, and continuously improve the performance of the Land Acquisition team
• Oversee and manage Security, CSR, and External Relations functions, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives
• Develop and propose annual work plans and budgets for Land Compensation, Security, CSR, and External Relations
• Build and maintain strong, harmonious relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government authorities, and other external parties
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring targets are achieved and corrective actions are implemented when necessary
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on:
• Land acquisition progress
• Community relations
• CSR program implementation
• Provide strategic input and solutions related to land acquisition challenges and external issues arising from mining or other operational activities
• Ensure full implementation and compliance with SMKP policies and regulations across all areas of responsibility

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in land acquisition, external relations, or CSR, preferably within mining, plantation, or infrastructure sectors
• Strong experience in stakeholder management, including government and community engagement
• Proven track record in land acquisition and compensation processes
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance (including SMKP)
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work in complex, high-pressure environments with diverse stakeholders
