Assistant Manager - Controllership

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Controllership team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with diverse teams, navigate complex regulations, and learn international best practices. As a key position working with the key leaders in the business, it involves putting your best-self to ensure high-quality technical and operational outcomes. The role is highly visible and accountable for the accuracy of financials, accounting decisions, internal control compliance, and the timely quality of routine submissions, including statutory filings and audits.
We will count on you to:
- Assist in day to day accounting functions and processes as well as reporting of financial information
- May prepare journal entries, money moves, payments request, administrative system accounting reports and/or consolidated statements.
- Working closely with Accounting Operations to ensure accuracy of the general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Prepare and analyze various accounting reports for tax, regulatory and statutory requirement.
- Coordinate procurement and expense accruals, while ensuring timely accurate monthly and quarterly close.
- Coordinate bank account operations, and ensuring timely update and accurate in Treasury system.
- Coordinate and provide the financial information upon other stakeholder request.
- Assists with the development, implementation and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies, procedures and process improvements for general accounting functions.
- Responds to ad hoc requests for financial information while, providing guidance, advise and train junior/less experienced accountants.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX procedures, SSAE16 procedures, tax regulations, local GAAP and US GAAP and local statutory regulations (as applicable) regarding financial matters.
What you need to have:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger/ Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivables transactions
- Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency
- Good command in English is required
