Assistant Production Manager

Duties & Responsibility:

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization.
• Ensure smooth batch processing, mixing, and dispersing of raw materials.
• Monitor and adjust production plans based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve production efficiency.
• Reduce waste, production downtime, and raw material costs.
• Work with the maintenance team to ensure minimal equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure all products meet PaintPro quality standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
• Collaborate with R&D and QC teams to maintain formulation consistency and resolve defects.
• Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations related to paint manufacturing.
• Lead and develop a high-performing production team.
• Provide training on production processes, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
• Set and track KPIs for efficiency, quality, and cost control. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and manage supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reduce stock discrepancies.
• Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years in paint or coatings manufacturing,
• Strong understanding of paint formulations, resin technology, pigments, additives, and solvents.
• Experience with batch processing, mixing, and dispersing equipment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations in Indonesia for the paint industry.
