CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Responsible for all tax compliance with Indonesian Tax Regulations for all Indonesia entities
  • Company Withholding Tax (23,26,4 Art 2 and others):
    • Calculate, review and report the monthly Company Withholding Tax
    • Responsible for distributing and collecting the Withholding Tax Slip relates to the company
    • Perform and review account reconciliations from Expense to Withholding Tax to respective Balance Sheet Accounts.
  • Value Added Tax VAT:
    • Issue Tax invoice by using E-Facture system
    • Issue Tax invoice’s supporting documents required
    • Validate Tax invoices and respective supporting documents for Input and Output VAT, both domestic and international
    • Calculate, review and report the monthly Value Added Tax
    • Perform account reconciliations from Revenue to Value Added Tax to respective Balance Sheet Accounts.
  • Employee Income Tax Art 21:
    • Co-ordinate with Paymaster to ensure submission of monthly Income Tax 21 & Yearly Income Tax 1721
    • Responsible for distributing Employee Income Withholding Tax Slip to the associates
  • Support Global Tax team in providing information for the annual Corporate Income Tax SPT 1771, ensuring appropriateness of the data to be provided and effectively communicate with MVCI’s tax consultant, where appropriate.
  • Responsible for compliance with international tax documentation (including but not limited to COR and DGT forms) and effective communication with other site’s finance department.
  • Assist Global Tax team by assignment as task force dealing with Tax and Government authorities as and when required (such as Tax audit and court appeal)
  • Ensure adequate filing and custody of tax documents according to Indonesian Tax Regulations.
Internal Controls

  • Assist in implementing accounting policies, processes and SOPs related to Taxes
  • Assist in aligning Tax practices with MVCI’s Internal Control, accounting policies, SOPs and practices across Sites

People Management

  • Actively support the development and training of associates by, among other things, regularly sharing best practices, technical knowledge and business concepts.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and business units to ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on an ad hoc basis as required by the business.
  • It is foreseeable that this job could take on more duties as the company grows, in sales analysis or general accounting.
  • Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Inform and/or update the executives, the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
  • Creates written and verbal presentations effectively.
  • Always demonstrates a high level of professionalism.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The education, experience, skills and attributes important for this position are:

  • Degree in Tax or Accounting with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Solid functional background in Tax and General Ledger Accounting.
  • Certified, minimum as brevet A & B Consultant and C will be at an advantage.
  • Experience with a Tax Consultant is preferable.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Able to build and maintain excellent rapport with all levels of associates.
  • A team player with ability to collaborate with senior management, functional departments and external partners.
  • Motivated self-starter, resourceful and independent.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective conflict management skills.
  • Well-organized and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong business integrity and holds sensitive information in confidence.
  • Understands and possesses the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
