POSITION PURPOSE

The main purpose of this role is to drive the growth of MBS Executive Education in Indonesia. The job holder will be responsible, in conjunction with the Head of Asia, for developing and executing the business development strategy to deliver sustainable, profitable growth in sales revenue through proper planning and execution of strategies within Indonesia.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

New Business Development

  • Overall responsibility for achieving the new business revenue targets in Indonesia
  • Responsible for developing and executing the new business development strategy with a particular focus on winning large-scale accounts
  • Undertake prospect and client visits with the Head of Asia and MBS learning consultants/faculty to assist in the lead conversion process
  • Qualifies and manages new business opportunities
  • Able to take a lead with clients and articulate an issue specific ‘point of view’ which adds value to the client and their thinking

Market Research

  • Responsible for researching the Indonesian market and identifying trends and potential areas for new business
  • Collecting and disseminating external data on customers, competitors and trends
  • Pro-actively identifies potential market segments and large potential customers and develops market penetration strategies, in conjunction with Head of Asia

Co-ordination

  • Co-ordinate and oversee the business development efforts in Indonesia
  • Liaise with MBS Asia and MBS Melbourne to ensure consistency of message and approach around proposals and tenders
  • Personally work on, and take the lead for, selected proposals and bids within nominated target industries/sectors
  • Establish and maintain strong business development and account management protocols
  • Work with the Head of Asia and learning lead to develop accounts plans to grow nominated accounts

Financials

  • Work with the Head of Asia to develop revenue budgets for new business acquisition

Leadership

  • Manages and develops regional resources
  • Works seamlessly as a team member within and across teams
  • Collaborates and cooperates with all staff of MBS
  • Is open to innovation and change and fosters high performance
  • Generates new ideas and suggestions
  • Open and honest communication
  • Actively takes responsibility for own development
  • Actively complies with the principles and policies of Occupational Health and Safety at MBS and contributes to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and third parties (clients, consultants and participants etc)
  • Acts as an ambassador for MBS and builds MBS external profile
