Location Overview

Role

Amandari is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Chief Engineer to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all resort facilities during the overnight hours. Reporting to the General Manager, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the property’s infrastructure, systems, and guest experience throughout the night.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all areas of the resort to ensure they remain in proper working condition.
• Lead engineering staff, ensuring professionalism, punctuality, and correct uniform standards.
• Oversee tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool and spa maintenance.
• Review and update departmental procedures to ensure high productivity.
• Support onboarding and training for new team members and oversee all team members performance.
• Complete necessary reports and correspondence accurately and on time.
• Conduct routine inspections and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained across all facilities.
• Attend meetings and briefings.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within engineering or maintenance.
• Well-rounded technical knowledge in plumbing, electrical systems, heating and cooling, and general construction.
• Experience with boilers, pool systems, and commercial equipment maintenance preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and respond calmly to overnight challenges.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks and lifting up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• High attention to detail and professional appearance.
• Clear communication skills and ability to coordinate with other departments.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
