About The Customer

The customer, established 15 years ago, specializes in developing and commercializing integrated civil engineering and infrastructure project solutions. Since 1999, they have secured over 150 projects in Indonesia and Malaysia. They excel in sewerage network and pipe laying works, sewerage treatment plants, bridge and road construction, and more, using techniques like the Open Trench and Trenchless Methods.

Job Summary

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the contract lifecycle management for various construction projects. You will ensure that all contractual matters are handled in compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously

Pre-Contract Administration Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice on key HR issues, working closely with departmental heads.
  • Maintain and enhance the Human Resource function by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and HR policies.
  • Review, formulate, implement, and ensure continuous improvement of HR practices and procedures.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the recruitment process. Coordinate and manage recruitment activities to meet company needs.
  • Engage with hiring managers to ensure correct sourcing of candidates.
  • Support the organisation’s policies by formulating and developing staff performance and rewards programs.
  • Direct the development and implementation of employee compensation and benefits plans.

Post-Contract Administration Responsibilities

  • Liaise closely with Project Person in charge on circumstances which may give rise to EOT, VO and other defend/dispute matters in the Main-Contract and Sub-Contract Administration and account through effective contractual management.
  • Improve Contractual and Technical knowledge for better administration / correspondences for Post Contract Work, as well to minimize dispute and manage risks.
  • Attend and replied all related contractual letters, correspondences and advice on contractual
  • requirements.
  • Overall in charge of contracts procurement, risk management, claims & final accounts
  • management, sub-contractors management, documentation management and other commercial administration matters.
  • To support the other department in all legal and contractual matters, such as supplier’s agreement, dispute resolution and etc.
  • To review, evaluate and make recommendation on bids and quotations submitted by the subcontractors.

Others Responsibilities

  • To Establish Project(s) Budget for P&L review, record and monitoring.
  • Mentor to Monitoring & Coaching subordinates for their personal growth and succession planning.
  • Be familiarised with STP & Pipe Jacking Construction process and operation in order to build the fundamental knowledge and develop the cost conscience for this industry, at the same time able to advice and guide the subordinate to execute their task with better efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be familiar with Contract Dept. SOP and ISO practices, improvement and implementation.
  • Be awareness of market and construction industry trend and development with the coming year of company register with CIDB & Master Builders in conducting courses and seminar for participation

Qualifications

  • Possess high degree of responsibility, collaborative work style, teamwork, solution-oriented and outcome drive.
  • Experienced on Project management and Contract administration will be highly considered
  • Min Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Architecture or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is not required but would be a plus

For this position, the client's budget is between 17.000.000 - 22.000.000
