Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving our CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software releases.
• Develop and maintain basic scripts (e.g., in Python or Bash) for automating routine operational tasks and deployments.
• Support the team in managing and monitoring our cloud infrastructure on [e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP], learning about virtual machines, networking, and storage services.
• Explore and research AIOps tools and trends, presenting findings to the team on how AI can be applied to our monitoring, logging, and incident response workflows.
• Assist in the initial setup and evaluation of AI-powered monitoring or log analysis tools, helping to prepare and label data for potential machine learning models.
• Help monitor system performance, logs, and alerts using tools like [e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog], escalating issues to senior engineers as needed.
• Gain exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes by assisting in container management tasks.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for our systems, processes, and runbooks to improve team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or graduating from a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A foundational understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interface.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical, analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and ask questions.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with or knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) through personal projects, coursework, or certifications.
• Demonstrated interest or foundational knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML), particularly in its application to IT operations (AIOps).
• Exposure to containerization concepts or tools like Docker.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Any personal projects, open-source contributions, or relevant lab experience that demonstrates a passion for technology.
