Direct Material Procurement Asistant Manager- Maternity Cover

Location: BSD Office, Tangerang

Work Mode: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover for 6 months)

About The Role

We're looking for a Direct Material Procurement Assistant Manager to join Flora Food Group’s APAC team on a fixed-term 6-month contract as maternity cover. This role will support supplier selection, cost management, and negotiations to help our procurement team deliver value and stay aligned with our company’s principles.

In this role, you’ll cover South East Asia and South Asia (3 main sourcing unit countries), optimizing procurement operations, managing supplier relationships, handling negotiations, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. You’ll also work closely with internal teams to create an efficient, risk-aware procurement process.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Selection: Use RFx processes and eProcurement tools to identify, shortlist, and select suppliers efficiently.
• Cost Management: Apply the total cost of ownership principle across all purchases and understand cost drivers to make informed decisions.
• Supply Chain Knowledge: Understand product specifications, internal requirements, and the value chain for each buying area.
• Negotiation Strategy: Set goals, use counter-tactics, and negotiate within Flora Food Group’s values, minimizing legal risks.
• Risk Management: Identify price risks and currency risks in your buying area, working with the global cost risk management team to manage exposure.
• Contract Management: Use standard contracts to secure agreements that protect the business.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal teams and ensure they know when to involve procurement in their processes.
  
  

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Experience: 4–5 years in procurement, with strong value creation project and negotiation skills.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze cost drivers and trends, ensuring effective cost management.
• Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing suppliers and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Proactive approach to mitigating risks, particularly around price and currency fluctuations.
