An Excel Macro Developer (EMD) with a passion for data efficiency and a strong ability to create user-friendly solutions to join our District Hospital Digitisation initiative. In this role, S/he will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Excel templates and macros that streamline data capture, analysis, and reporting processes, ultimately improving patient care and operational efficiency.

This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

An Excel Macro Developer (EMD) with a passion for data efficiency and a strong ability to create user-friendly solutions to join our District Hospital Digitization initiative. In this role, S/he will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Excel templates and macros that streamline data capture, analysis, and reporting processes, ultimately improving patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Template Design and Development:
• Analyze existing data structures and workflows to understand user needs.
• Design and create intuitive, well-structured Excel templates for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
• Implement data validation rules, conditional formatting, and other tools to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Macro Development and Automation:
• Write and implement VBA code to automate repetitive tasks, calculations, and data manipulation.
• Develop macros that enhance template functionality, such as dynamic data filtering, report generation, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing macros as needed.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Utilize Excel’s analytical tools (pivot tables, charts, data visualization) to extract meaningful insights from captured data.
• Generate informative reports and dashboards for decision-making by healthcare professionals and administrators.
• User Training and Support:
• Provide clear instructions and hands-on training to hospital staff on the use of templates and macros.
• Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure smooth template adoption and usage.
• System Integration:
• Collaborate with technical teams to explore ways to integrate Excel templates and macros with the main digitization system for seamless data exchange.
  

Desirable Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors Degree
• 3-5 years of experience with advanced VBA programming skills, including user interface design, object-oriented programming, and working with external data sources.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Healthcare domain knowledge or experience in healthcare data management
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, functions, and data manipulation techniques.
• Experience in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) development for macro creation and automation.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
