External Finance Consultant (Onshore/ Fully Remote)

Our client a leading insurer is looking for a seasoned External Finance Consultant to optimise and shorten the quarter-end closing process. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IFRS 17 solutions, a strong understanding of insurance finance, and a proactive approach to finance transformation initiatives. Experience with ETL processes, CSM SAS engines, Oracle, and OneStream reporting is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve the quarter-end closing timetable to boost efficiency and reduce processing time.
• Implement and oversee IFRS 17 solutions within the organisation's framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Use ETL processes to enhance data integration and reporting.
• Leverage CSM engines to facilitate contract service margin calculations.
• Develop and maintain OneStream reporting solutions to support financial analysis and decision-making.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems.
• Provide expert guidance on insurance-related financial matters and regulatory compliance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Extensive experience with IFRS 17 solutions and industry frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance industry practices and regulations.
• Proven experience in finance transformation and process optimisation.
• Proficiency in ETL processes, CSM engines, and OneStream reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
