Field Specialist II – Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD)/Downhole Deployment Valve (DDV)

Job Description

The Field Specialist II – MPD/DDV is responsible for the execution and supervision of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and Downhole Deployment Valve (DDV) operations in both onshore and offshore environments.

The specialist ensures proper job planning, equipment maintenance, operational excellence, and safety compliance while serving as the primary client contact at the well site.

Responsibilities

• Execute MPD and DDV operations, including pre-job preparation and post-job reporting.
• Operate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain MPD/DDV equipment.
• Analyze real-time well data and recommend operational adjustments.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE and service quality standards.
• Supervise field crews and provide mentorship to junior staff.
• Act as a key interface with clients at the well site.
• Participate in incident investigations and support failure analyses.
• Manage job documentation including reports, logs, and service tickets.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong technical knowledge of MPD and DDV systems and tools.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Critical thinking and real-time problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective leadership and communication in field environments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Computer literacy in drilling-related software and data systems
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in onshore and offshore field operations, specifically in MPD and DDV.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to perform field tasks.
  
  

Preferred

• Technical Certification from an accredited vocational or technical school.
