Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to support financial modelling, business valuation, and sensitivity analysis for high-value investment projects and shareholder reporting. Our focus is in the Hotel Development and luxury real-estate developments industry, energy, sustainability (carbon credits) and others. This role involves working closely with the Director of Investment and Strategy to prepare advanced Excel models, business valuations, pitch decks, one-pagers, and comprehensive business case documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial valuation, be proficient in dynamic financial modelling, and excel at creating investor-focused materials.

• Key Responsibilities
• a. Financial Modelling & Business Valuation: i. Build and maintain advanced Excel models for financial projections, P&L, financial metrics, sensitivity analysis, and valuations. ii. Perform financial valuations of businesses using DCF (Discounted Cash Flow), Termina Value, FCF multiples, EBITDA multiples, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and other methodologies. iii. Assess shareholder value and provide insights on business performance to key stakeholders.
• b. Investor Materials & Shareholder Reporting: i. Create compelling pitch decks, one-pagers, and business case documents tailored to institutional investors and shareholders. ii. Develop standardized financial valuation reports for shareholder updates and decision-making. Private & Confidential
• c. Business Case Validation: i. Collaborate with internal teams to gather and analyze financial and operational data for robust business case preparation. ii. Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and sensitivity analyses to validate assumptions and identify key risks and opportunities.
• d. Strategic Analysis: i. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business valuations and investment recommendations. ii. Prepare actionable recommendations for shareholders and investors based on valuation insights and strategic analysis.
• e. Collaboration & Communication: i. Work closely with the Director to align outputs with clients, investors and shareholders strategies. ii. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure financial models and reports are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business goals.
• f. Continuous Improvement: i. Refine and optimize financial models and templates for efficiency and effectiveness. ii. Stay updated on financial valuation methodologies, industry trends, and investor/shareholder expectations.
• Qualifications
• a. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• b. 3-5 years of experience in financial valuation, modelling, or investment analysis.
• c. Expertise in financial valuation methodologies (DCF, multiples, precedent transactions) and business analysis.
• d. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including dynamic modelling and visualization tools.
• e. Experience with preparing investor/shareholder materials (e.g., pitch decks, valuation reports) is essential.
• f. Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation tools or financial analysis software is a strong plus.
• g. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
