Head of Operation

Our client is one of a leading company in the Oil & Gas Sector, committed to delivering high-quality products/services. We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to oversee our operational functions and drive organizational efficiency.

Job Summary:

The Head of Operations will be responsible for the overall operational performance, developing and implementing strategies, ensuring efficient processes, and leading a team to achieve company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all mining operations (planning, production, maintenance, logistics).
• Ensure compliance with regulations, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Optimize resource utilization (manpower, equipment, materials).
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Build and develop a high-performing operations team.
• Foster continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Engage with government bodies, local communities, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field; Masters preferred.
• 10+ years in mining operations; 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience at third-party contractors in mining projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mining processes, equipment, safety standards.
• Proven leadership in large-scale mining operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in operational planning and financial management.
• Relevant certifications in mining operations and safety are a plus
