Import Asisstant (Contract-Based)

Multi Bintang Indonesia is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Import Assistant to help with customs clearance and ensure smooth, cost-effective cargo movement. You'll work with customs officers, shipping companies, trucking firms, and internal teams to handle documentation, communication, and compliance. Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and cost-effective cargo release from the port by assisting in the smooth coordination of all field activities and aligning with the required documentation from government institutions, banks, and the National Single Window.
• Stay updated on regulations and practices by working closely with customs officers and actively reporting on field operations.
• Manage communication with government officials to acquire necessary licenses efficiently and on time.
• Assist in preparing and submitting monthly tax and duty reports to government authorities.
• Support customs audits by properly filing all clearance documents and ensuring cargo is released according to standard SOPs.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma degree in the related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing within the FMCG industry.
• Having custom certification will be a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills, self-confidence, and excellent communication skills.
• Good networking with custom and forwarders on field level and good consideration in terms of flexibility and risk.
• Fluent in English in oral and written.
