We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented In-House Accountant to join our firm in Bali. This position will support the financial operations of the company and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial policies.
Job Description:
As an In-House Accountant, you will manage and oversee all accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Indonesian financial regulations and tax laws. You will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, managing financial records, and assisting with audits. The role requires a strong understanding of Indonesian tax systems, government regulations, and financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of Indonesian tax filings, including VAT, income tax, and withholding tax (PPh), ensuring compliance with the Directorate General of Taxes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with local accounting standards and regulations (Sakernas).
- Ensure the company's operations comply with Indonesian financial laws, including tax, labor, and corporate laws.
- Manage the general ledger and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and minimize financial risks.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers/vendors, and intercompany transactions.
- Oversee the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement in accordance with Indonesian labor law.
- Provide financial insights to management to support decision-making.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with in-house or public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, including PPh, VAT, and other local tax laws.
- Familiarity with accounting software (MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellence in English both written and verbal.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with management and external parties.
