Japan-Indonesia Communication Facilitator / PM Assistant （日本語対応プロジェクトコーディネータ）

Overview

We are seeking a bilingual professional fluent in Japanese and English, who can serve as a key communication bridge between our Japanese headquarters and our Indonesia-based development team. This is not a translation-focused role. We are looking for someone who can identify and resolve subtle communication gaps, clarify intentions, and facilitate effective collaboration across cultures. Most projects follow a waterfall development process, with some Agile practices applied where appropriate.

Key Responsibilitie

• sFacilitate clear and effective communication between Japanese stakeholders and offshore development teams in Indonesia
• .Lead and mediate discussions during online meetings and chat-based collaboration to ensure shared understanding of goals, requirements, and context
• .Identify misunderstandings or ambiguities across cultural and linguistic lines, and proactively clarify or supplement communication
• .Support project managers in structured project delivery: requirement clarification, documentation, progress tracking, and issue resolution
• .Translate and review documentation (Japanese ⇄ English), ensuring accurate and context-aware communication
• .Occasionally support Agile-style workflows in relevant parts of the project

• e:Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and English (business level
• ).2+ years of experience in IT project coordination, communication facilitation, or similar role
• s.Deep understanding of Japanese work culture and development styl
• e.Experience with or familiarity with waterfall-based software development lifecycle
• s.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in multicultural and remote-first environment
• s.Self-motivated and able to work independently with teams across time zone
