Librarian for Legal Department (Legal Background)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assist legal teams with research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
• Stay current on updates and new resources in legal research and library management.
• Catalog, classify, and maintain legal books, journals, and electronic resources.
• Organize and index legal documents, case files, and precedents to ensure quick access.
• Maintain physical and digital archives of case files, court decisions, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Provide support to legal staff by recommending relevant legal resources for ongoing cases or research needs.
• Offer assistance with finding legal publications, secondary sources, and other research tools.
• Coordinate with external vendors and publishers for procurement of new legal materials.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, training, and events related to library services.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Legal, or related fields.
• Previous experience working in a legal library or legal environment, with knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with legal professionals and vendors.
• Discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive legal information.
• Proficient with various legal research databases, library management systems, and digital archiving tools.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with large volumes of data and documents.
• Willing to be placed at Alam Sutera, Tangerang.
