Protecting fragile ecosystems means finding a way to create value for people without sacrificing nature. This is too complex a challenge for any one company, commodity supply chain, NGO, or government to handle alone. To secure a future for natural resources and the people who rely on them, collective action and collaboration are critical – we must go beyond the bounds of individual supply chains.

This is why we work in high-value landscapes across the globe to support local and international stakeholders in constructing pathways for regenerating lives and nature, building supply chain and farmer resilience, and achieving the goals of responsible sourcing.

Your Role

As the Livelihood Officer in Riau Landscape, you will be primarily responsible for:

• Executing the various activities in the ToC/logframe/workplan within operation/working area and ensuring the activities are incorporated with the required advice/method/approach and practical support from the Livelihood Manager.
• Work together with the Field Coordinator and Livelihood Manager for impact measurement on producing report of progress and outcomes in a regular basis for internal audience, and as required, support the presentation to relevant EF clients/members.
• Support Livelihood Manager to engage with relevant stakeholders within the operation/working area.
• Assist in implementing an action plan for farmers' transformation project.
• Provides technical advice to target beneficiaries on specific topics.
• Carry out field work according to the approved action plan.
• Contributing on developing action plan based on defined work plan, budget plan and resources allocation plan.
• Contributing on communicating the updates, success stories and lessons learned.
• Carry out fieldwork according to an approved action plan.

Your Profile

You are genuinely motivated about leveraging agricultural supply chains to improve environmental and social outcomes, and interested in a career with a dynamic non-profit that builds relationships with companies, governments and civil society organizations to bring responsible products to market.

Your proven experience in agriculture and livelihood activities coupled with good understanding of food and cash crops production and regenerative farming systems makes you a trusted partner and valued advisor as you navigate across interdepartmental and cross-cultural teams.

Self-starter with a solution-oriented, proactive and collaborative mindset you also are a natural communicator and enjoy building relationships with various stakeholders including local communities/farmers, companies, governments, and civil society organizations.

Your commitment to quality outputs, excellent time management and prioritization skills and appetite for finding solutions for any unexpected technical issues which may occur during the implementation of livelihood activities will be key to be successful in the role.

Last, you must be ready to stay and work in remote areas for an extensive period with a fly-in fly-out roster.
