Job Description

- We're part of Grab's Financial Services in Indonesia, building responsible, accessible credit solutions that help merchants grow within the Grab ecosystem.
- We work with Merchant/Commercial, Credit Risk, Product, Ops, and Marketing team to deliver end-to-end lending journeys.
- Our mission is simple: unlock merchant growth through data-informed lending while safeguarding portfolio quality and regulatory compliance.
- You will deliver high acquisition targets, while also contributing to go-to-market feedback, product iteration, and overall merchant strategy.
- You will be both an acquirer (acquiring and growing merchant lending relationships) and an advisor (diagnosing needs and structuring the right lending solutions).
- You will own the full funnel: prospecting, needs assessment, solutioning, application packaging, onboarding, disbursement coordination, portfolio monitoring, renewals, and cross-sell.
- You will be the merchant's voice to our cross-functional teams providing insights that shape product features, risk policies, GTM campaigns, and process improvements.
- You will be based in Surabaya, reporting to a Jakarta-based Lead. Frequent in-field merchant visits and intra-/inter-city travel.
- Commercial outcomes and pipeline
- Manage a robust pipeline across priority MSME segments and verticals.
- Deliver on disbursement, revenue/yield, and portfolio quality (e.g., DPD/NPL) targets.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and activity hygiene in CRM.
- Provide structured feedback to Product, Risk, and Ops to improve UX, policies, and processes.
- Acquisition and consultative advisory
- Run structured discovery to understand business models, seasonality, and cash cycles.
- Translate needs into appropriate products and structures (e.g., working capital, term, revolving, merchant cash advance), within policy and pricing guardrails.
- Handle objections, negotiate within delegation, and educate merchants on terms, pricing, repayment mechanics, and responsible borrowing.
- Guide merchants through onboarding (e.g. KYC/KYB, documentation, e-signing) and disbursement steps.
- Collaborate with Credit/Risk to provide context and data that support sound underwriting decisions.
- Partnerships and GTM enablement
- Work with Marketing/CRM and Merchant/Commercial teams on targeted campaigns, events, and merchant education to stimulate qualified demand.
What Essential Skill you will Need:
- 2+ years of experience in SME/MSME lending acquisition in P2P lending and digital financial institutions
- Experience achieving and exceeding high acquisition targets
- Comfortable with field engagements and merchant education across MSME scale up to larger brands with ability to adapt messaging accordingly
- Strong consultative selling, objection handling, and basic credit assessment (financial/bank statement and cashflow reading)
- Strong cross-functional influence: collaborative with Risk, Ops, and Product; able to balance merchant needs with risk and business objectives.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work under minimal supervision
- High integrity with strict adherence to regulatory and conduct standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with familiarity in CRM software such as Salesforce considered a plus
- Willingness to travel as you will be in charge of multiple regions.
