MS SQL DBA with Systems Administration Experience

What You’ll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain the organization's Windows servers.
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Monitor system performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
• Ensure system and database security, including backups and access controls.
• Optimize system and database performance through regular maintenance.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and database-related issues and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with developers and other IT staff to design and optimize system and database configurations.
• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system and database configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Plan and execute system and database migrations and upgrades.
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role for at least 2 years.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Experience with system and database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with system and database security, backup, and recovery processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Certification in Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) or relevant administration certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL).
  
  

Personal Skills You Excel

• Basic experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g., Azure).
• Basic knowledge of Azure database services.
