Prepress Artist

• A prepress operator (tobacco) is responsible to create print ready files, which can be used in an optimum way to provide production data for the gravure/flexo print tool
• Position is supported by standard SOPs and guideline to follow the requirement of local and global print production facilities.
• Fluent skills in English (write, speak).
• Ensuring communication between graphic designers and marketing
• Operate Mac/Computer
• 5S knowledge, Kaizen
• ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO 27001 Quality Management
• D3 (undergraduate/diploma) or S1 (graduate) Design Communication Visual (DKV) operate software design photoshop dan adobe illustrator
  
  

Position Summary

The Prepress Artists uses a MAC to perform all art function as well as preparing files for prepress. This role works with and is affluent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and all imagesetter processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Takes existing art and makes it prepress ready to image.
• Traps files.
• Handles proofing.
• Checks densities,
• Scans barcodes.
• Labels and archives all final files
• Maintains imagesetters and peripherals.
• Handles overall cleanup.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Marketing or related field
• 4+ years of previous Graphic Arts or Marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
