QUANTITY SURVEYOR MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER (Based in Batam)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Vendor Sourcing (Assisting Procurement)

• Vendor Sourcing and Maintain Vendor List by assisting Procurement
• Providing Quantities and all technical requirement to Procurement

2. Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimate

• Measurements and Preparation of BOQ (including liaison with external QS Consultants)
• Preparation of Cost Data and assisting in Cost Plan preparation
• Leads in Value Engineering Exercise for alternative materials and construction methods.
• Working with team and related department/consultant in providing best option for projects
• Identify and communicate potential problems with related departments.

3. Tender Management & Contract (Including liaison with external QSs)

• Lead/Assisting in Tender Preparation and Tender Management
• Lead/Assisting in preparation of Contract Documents

4. Post Contract Management (Including liaison with external QSs)

• Post Contract administration and final accounts settlement
• Price Comparison and Analysis
• Cost and Payments Monitoring
• Verifiy and evaluate detail estimations and preparation of VO / VE

REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in engineering
• Speak English fluently is a must
• Minimum 7 years experience as Quantity Surveyor
• Resourceful and able to establish a network with local vendors
• Familiar and have good understanding on Quantity Surveying process
• Have exposure and good understanding in Tender management
• Have exposure and good understanding in Contract management
• Possesses integrity, initiative and drive
• Good initiative and able to work with Teams of different department.
• Team player with good hands-on multi-tasking abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• In-depth understanding of construction practice in Batam is a plus.
• Able to use Microsoft program, AutoCAD, other QS program to perform the works.
