Get to know the role

Grab is seeking a Regional Operation Head - North Sumatra to oversee operations across Aceh, Medan, Batam, Pekanbaru, and Padang. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving, data analysis, and project management skills.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop and implement a regional strategy to achieve business objectives.
• Own the P&L for sustainable growth and lead analytical problem-solving initiatives.
• Understand market dynamics and drive business viability in a competitive landscape.
• Manage a team of five city managers, aligning priorities with regional and company OKRs.
• Analyze internal and industry data to identify trends and assess business risks.
  
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mid-to-senior management roles in tech, FMCG, banking, or telecom.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with ownership of regional business management.
• Excellent understanding of markets, customers, and competitors.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in team management.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights from data.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong decision-making skills and relationship-building capabilities.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa, with strong communication skills.
• Experience in recruiting and mentoring talent.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
