Job Summary

Perform hands-on product development through formulation, raw material selection, international test methods, quality control and techniques for Savoury and Processed Food products.

General Responsibilities

• Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
• Analyze and suggest innovative product concepts by incorporating the raw materials
• Perform chemical and physical parameter tests for formulated products to guarantee the ability and stability of the products/samples
• Procure different raw materials for product development and maintain those raw materials along with their storage data
• Communicate effectively to the reporting manager on project progress, results and analysis that will lead to product solutions
• Visit exhibition and trade shows to identify new opportunities/products/ingredients
• Report to R&D Manager of Food & Beverage Industry Indonesia to support FBI team in providing prototype to customer
• Ability to give idea or new concept to the sales team and customer
• Achieve monthly target of prototype preparation
• Support in providing technical training for the sales team to upgrade their technical capabilities and product knowledge
• Maintain test reports, technical literature, equipment calibration, the raw materials database and project status files
• Assist the sales team to successfully demonstrate product applications to customers by undertaking trials at customer locations
• Cooperate with the sales team to provide product feedback and documentation support

Functional Skills and Knowledge

• Min. 2 years experience in the technical area or application or relevant in processed meat industry and Savoury products experience is preferred
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding about food ingredient and food application
• Demonstrate basic working knowledge of regulatory requirements of products
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Degree in Food Technology

Education

Diploma in Applied Science/Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering/Food Engineering or related field
