Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for join to a team of data engineers, designing, developing, and optimizing our data architecture, pipelines, and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, and product teams, to ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility for business decision-making.

Work Arrangement

• Full-time position
• Hybrid work model (2 days per week in the office)
• Monday to Friday, 5-day work week (flexible work schedule)
• Eligible to reside and work in Bandung (Indonesian citizenship only)

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data architectures, ensuring they meet business requirements and are optimized for performance.
• Build and support ETL pipelines, ensuring seamless data ingestion, transformation, and loading across various systems and platforms.
• Guide and support a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices in data engineering are followed, and mentor team members for skill development.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Work closely with data analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver on business objectives.
• Stay updated on emerging data technologies and recommend tools or platforms that will enhance data processes and efficiencies.
• Optimize and tune existing data processes, databases, and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce latency.
• Maintain thorough documentation of data architectures, processes, and workflows to support transparency and scalability.
• Learn and adopt new Data pipeline and analytics tools to evolve the data platform

Qualifications and Competencies

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficient in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend).
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proven track record mentoring and developing team members.
• Preferred: Experience with data governance and data security frameworks, as well as a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
