We're seeking an exceptional QA Lead to architect sophisticated test automation strategies and drive quality excellence across distributed teams. This role demands a blend of technical mastery and leadership prowess—someone who can transform testing approaches while mentoring talented QA engineers in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement comprehensive testing strategies tailored to complex project requirements.
  • Orchestrate multi-layered testing approaches spanning regression, integration, performance, and acceptance testing.
  • Lead critical defect review sessions and establish definitive quality gates throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Design and evolve sophisticated automation frameworks leveraging Java and cutting-edge testing tools.
  • Implement and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines ensuring seamless continuous testing integration.
  • Cultivate knowledge sharing networks and standardize best practices across distributed QA teams.
  • Explore emerging testing technologies and implement innovations that enhance quality processes.
  • Establish meaningful metrics frameworks to quantify testing effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Mentor QA engineers, providing technical guidance on complex testing challenges.
  • Standardize quality processes and documentation across diverse projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure testability is prioritized from project inception.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated leadership success managing QA teams for 2+ years, including functional oversight of distributed teams.
  • Advanced Java programming skills (Java 17+) with deep knowledge of core and extended libraries.
  • Expert-level understanding of Selenium WebDriver architecture and underlying implementation mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenide for web testing and Appium for mobile automation.
  • Proven track record designing and building custom test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Strong command of Unix/Linux environments and command-line operations.
  • Extensive expertise with API testing methodologies across REST and SOAP services.
  • Advanced proficiency with Git version control, including branching strategies and workflows.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining modern CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Docker containerization expertise for creating reproducible test environments.
  • Strong SQL knowledge for sophisticated database testing and data validation.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities for troubleshooting complex test scenarios.
