Senior Officer Material Planner

Functional description

• Plan and ensure production has sufficient material on time.
• Optimize stock at material store.
• Monitor and control inventory level against the budgeted inventory.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Issue Purchase Requisition to Procurement for conversion to PO and issue to individual supplier.
• Follow up order confirmation of PO to individual supplier.
• Monitor and follow up on delivery schedules base on the requested date in the PO.
• Provide supplier delivery performance to SQM.
• Direct contact with Procurement Department if there is any delay or urgent shipment required from supplier.
• To inform Customer Service if there are delay delivery from supplier that will effected to production schedule.
• Reschedule the delivery of materials when required based on updated demand.
• Check and provide the disposition for aging materials.
• Support new project phase in / phase out for new introduction.
• Monitor and reduction premium charge caused by delay material and implement with corrective action.
• Achieving logistic key performance indicator set by Management.

Requirements

Education:

University / Diploma graduate

Experience:

Minimal 2 years experience in Material Planning is preferably.

Knowledge:

Good communication skill in English both in written and spoken.

Knowledge of working with computer.

Familiar with SAP ERP System.

Personal attributes:

Self-motivated, honest and able to work under pressure.

Good interpersonal and communication skill.

Ability to communicate with supplier.

Physical condition:

Good health, vision, etc.
