Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of our projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and procurement management, from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Oversee and manage all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to and variances are controlled.
- Procurement: Lead procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships to achieve best value for the company.
- Contract Administration: Administer and manage contracts, including preparing tender documents, evaluating submissions, and negotiating agreements with contractors and suppliers.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with cost, contracts, and procurement activities, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with design and construction teams to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- Cost Reporting: Provide accurate and timely cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to cost and contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the real estate development sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing costs and contracts on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach..
